We have been able to increase the sex ratio in Ganganagar district. Although my dream was to make it 1,000 girls for every 1,000 boys, it has not happened yet … At a major workshop, somebody said, “Nisha is trying to bring change, [but] it is not possible.” I [took the] challenge that change would occur in Ganganagar—no matter how and when, but [that] it surely would. When change did happen … the same person called me first to congratulate [me]. This is a big deal for me that I accepted that challenge and was successful.
